Children learn best through play, so the hands-on activities in our
Kindergarten-readiness program make learning fun!
Our families rave about the loving, personal attention our teachers give their children.
Low child to teacher ratios and small classes allow two teachers to nurture the physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of every King's Kid.
Our dedicated, experienced teachers will lead your child through a theme-based curriculum based on FCPS and LCPS standards that explores science, reading, math and more through creative, hands-on projects and play.
Every age group explores our weekly theme and letter of the alphabet through crafts and activities just right for them. Our program grows with your child each year to prepare them for Kindergarten and a lifetime of learning.
Students enjoy a special lesson every day of the week. Our specials include Spanish, music and movement, chapel time led by our pastor, library, and physical fitness, plus STEM activities.
We offer Before Care and Afterschool Enrichment classes to extend your preschooler's day, plus optional summer camp weeks after Memorial Day.
We offer a Christian-based, loving preschool learning environment for children from 17 months to 5 years old.
Our sun-filled classrooms, hand-painted hallway murals, colorful playground and green, wooded spaces create a warm, inviting setting. We're a short drive from Reston, Sterling, Herndon, McLean and Vienna.
Generous hours of 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (plus Before Care and Afterschool Enrichment options) allow friendships and imaginations to blossom and a lifelong passion for learning to take root.

Here are a few of the comments we've received from King's Kids parents:
"I cannot say enough good things about King's Kids Preschool. Both of my children have attended the entire program and loved it. Not only do they provide a caring environment where you feel comfortable leaving your child, but they provide a curriculum of "fun" learning for the children that really prepares them for Kindergarten." -- Sharon M., Great Falls
"My son is loving Kindergarten and doing great. We had his first parent teacher conference. On his reading DRA Word Analysis assessment, the benchmark for the Fall is 61/193 and he scored 187/193! He also did great on his math assessment. We really credit King's Kids Preschool and the great teachers there for his level of achievement. He had a wonderful experience at your preschool, and we thank you for preparing him so well!" -- Maria C., Great Falls
"We are so very fortunate that our friends told us about King's Kids Preschool. The teachers are so wonderful with our son and all of the children in his small class. King's Kids Preschool is a very special place that continues to exceed our expectations at every turn." -- Molly D., Vienna
"When I first enrolled my daughter in the preschool program at Christ the King Lutheran Church, I was really looking for a warm and nurturing environment, as we had recently moved to Great Falls from overseas. What she got was that and so much more! The school provided her (and my younger son), a curriculum that is balanced, giving the children a passion for learning, as well as a loving, family-type atmosphere that they look forward to every day. My daughter was so well-prepared for kindergarten this year after completing the pre-K program at KKP, and still loves to come back to visit her teachers here. I highly recommend King’s Kids Preschool, and I feel lucky to have found such a fantastic little school for my children to start their educations." -- Justine D., Great Falls
King's Kids Preschool opened in 1991 to provide quality, affordable preschool for our community. We listened to parents and added Before Care (early drop-off between 8:45 and 9 AM) and Afterschool Enrichment (1:30 to 3 PM) to meet the need for extended care after the 4-hour preschool day many families love. We understand preschool is important to families, so we quickly adapted our program in March 2020 and overcame the challenges of the Covid pandemic to re-open in September 2020.
Our personal approach serves us well. Our classes are small and led by two creative, dedicated co-teachers who work with each child to help them grow. We're proud of the way our parents and teachers work together to meet our students' needs. Tour King's Kids and see our caring learning environment for yourself -- we'd love for your child to join us!
The health and safety of our students is a priority and since many children suffer from food allergies, most particularly nut and peanut allergies, we have adopted the following Nut-Free Policy:
No food containing nuts or nut butter, or peanuts or peanut butter, shall be brought into the school. All lunches that children bring to school must be free of nuts. Parents must contact the Director before providing birthday treats or any food treats for a class.
King's Kids Preschool operates as a nonprofit organization under the Learning Ministries umbrella of Christ the King Lutheran Church. We are a financially self-supporting ministry that welcomes all children. We do not proselytize, but we do intentionally give witness to our Christ-centered faith and teachings.
King’s Kids Preschool admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, denomination or religious affiliation.
